Movie: The Descendants
I Love You But You Cheated On Me
When Matt King (George Clooney) learned that her wife was cheating on him prior to the horrific incident which led her into coma; the mood of the movie suddenly changes from slow to intense until to its ending.
It was Alexandra (Shailene Woodley), the 17 year old daughter of the Kings, who revealed the illicit affairs of her mother.
This drama depicted the realities of life perfectly. It was channeled in a way that it never exaggerate the tragedies and all the humor in the movie. It was a good musing that in a relationship, sh&* usually happens and that it is up to you how you are going to handle and respond to it.
In the movie, Matt was able to make himself in control in front of his children, family and friends during the difficult situations especially when they have decided to just end the long suffering of his very sick wife.
It was not a mind-twisting story but it catches attention and everybody can relate to it easily, making it a hit movie. Acclaimed, nominated by several awarding bodies and won some of it including the Best Actor award for Clooney in the Golden Globe Awards.
The Descendants racked up $169,881,000 in the box office which has a budget of only $20,000,000, according to wikipedia.
It was all shot in the beautiful Islands of Hawaii.
T’was a good movie that my wife and I both liked it. To rate the movie, 1 to 10 with 10 as the highest, I’m giving it a 10! 🙂
