More Of A Filipino Than A Mexican
Though Jessica Sanchez is a half Filipino and a half Mexican, to me she’s more of a Filipino than a Mexican. Why? See these:
- She has that Filipino look, ala Miriam Quiambao 🙂
- She sings songs that are also Filipino favorites (pop, ballad etc). Mexicans on the other hand usually have Latina music preferences
- She has the voice, the Filipino caliber voice (Lani Misalucha and Ella May Saison combined, LOL)
She Is To Me, The Newest American Idol
I haven’t read any articles yet mentioning how Mexicans see Jessica with her stardom status at this moment but surely part of the thousands if not millions of votes will be coming from them. The other half of the votes will be coming from the Filipinos of course. And I am positive that a large portion of the votes will be coming also from the native white and black Americans who truly know what real talent is.
Despite the three judges’ some kind of a recommendation gesture by giving Phillip Phillips a standing O, I think and I believe that it will not change the decision of the American Idol voters to vote Jessica.
