Count Your Blessing Name Them One By One
So many assigned topics of BC Bloggers Meme that I have not complied. But I don’t want to miss this one. One of the top topics that I like most.
As a minister’s child, I grew up in a family where every Sunday school shouldn’t be missed. Part of the so many lessons learned from the Sunday school is counting your blessings and naming them one by one.
So here are my list of blessings for the past week, weeks or years, to share with you guys.
The life that I am having now is a blessing. I am always thankful to Him for this gift of life. Almost everybody’s having that as a blessing, I guess, which is also the same as to Daddy Yashiro’s number one blessing. Yashiro by the way is this weeks BC Bloggers Meme Host. 🙂
Having the same work in the same company for the past 5 years now is another blessing to me, to my family and to everyone who knows me. Honestly, everyday is a challenge because the economy is not that stable yet, and we don’t know what will happen. But with faith, I hope this job will last a bit longer. I just feel pity to those who lost their jobs because of the recent economic turmoil.
Weeks ago or let me say, 6 months ago to be exact, my wife and I were finally given by Him the chance to be with our 2 year old son for like, everyday now. Our application for visa and all just went smoothly with no hassle. The happiness that time when our application was approved is unfathomable and we continue to feel that even until now. It is just so nice to wake up in the morning hearing our son saying “morning nay, morning tay”. After two years of sacrifice being away with him, our family is now finally, complete.
My wife’s temporary contract has ended after several renewals. She finally decided to stop and start looking for an equally good, or better if not the best company that would hire her permanently. After weeks of sending countless applications, so to speak, last week, different calls from companies and agencies are now pouring in and they’ve set a date for interviews. That alone is a blessing. How much more when one company will offer my wife the salary, the environment, the scope of work and the work timing she desires.
So many blessings to name and so many of them to count. God doesn’t stop from doing so. And just last week, after visiting a pediatrician an OG Gyne, it was confirmed and I saw the test result with our very own eyes that my wife’s pregnant with our second baby. Woootwooot! I thank God or rather, we thank God for that. Another gift of life from Him soon!
