Rock Guitar Guru Slash Steps One Level Up
Slash Embraces Latest Technology For His Music
Change is the only permanent in this world indeed. But it must be change for the better always. This is just one of the principles that Rock Guitar Guru, Rock And Roll Hall of Fame inductee and Grammy award winner Slash is applying to his career reason that he stays afloat in the music scene.
“In this day and age, if you can take music in a different direction, and show people all the different facets of how music is created and performed it makes the whole picture more interesting. That is our goal.” – SLASH
And so he created the first of its kind music application called Slash360. With this application, fans having iPhone, iPad and iPod devices can enjoy listening to Slash’s newly released songs under his new album Apocalyptic Love for a minimal fees.
The Slash360 app gives a different experience for users where they can see Slash with his bandmates actually performing on a studio. This is made happen with the world’s first multi-camera 360-degree interactive music application called MATIvision.
If we have to bring this to a different perspective, basing to companies like Kodak which wasn’t able to adapt the latest in technologies, are now left behind and even went into bankruptcy. But just very recently, Hallmark Cards, Inc. which I think has almost the same years of existence with Kodak, tied with an agreement with Fujitsu and uses its known effective technology, to cope up with today’s costumer needs and with the goal of keeping its presence in the ever and fast changing market.
What Slash is doing right now is a good example to that. Slash who is already considered a veteran in the music industry will be able to continue and compete with other young and tech savvy musicians like Justine Beiber and all. LOL! 🙂
And there’s more to that:
“For the more musically inclined fan, SLASH partnered with IK Multimedia to develop AmpliTube Slash edition which allows fans to play, practice and record with SLASH’s signature pedals and amplifiers on the iPhone, iPod touch, iPad and Mac/PC. Users can rock in a fully integrated multi-track recording studio with SLASH’s legendary Marshall amplifiers and his signature guitar pedals as well as a comprehensive collection ofSLASH’s guitar tone settings.”
I bet, weeks or months from now, another musician will have its own version of this kind of music application. By the way, I don’t know what Ax’l Rose’s (Former bandmate and Guns N’ Roses’ frontman) reaction to this one. Do you? LOL!
