Is Listening To FM While At Work Okay?
As An M20 Fan
I was listening to Dj Natalie of Dubai 92 one afternoon trying to give myself a bit of an upper to avoid dizziness.
Upon hearing that she’s giving out Matchbox Twenty’s latest album North, as a fan, I never wasted a single minute and sent the message “Music” to 4009. And seconds after, I got the call from her.
Matchbox Twenty’s songs are easy to distinguish and yet have the good quality of music that differs from other bands. Though listening to their songs is like listening to those of Police’s/Sting’s, U2’s, Toto’s, Nirvana’s and other a bit old top pop/rock bands. Songs that will stay in your thoughts until you get old. LOL!
I was still in high school when I purchased their first album “Yourself Or Someone Like You”, which was a massive hit worldwide. I even almost memorized all their songs that time.
“I really am a fan of Matchbox twenty and of Rob Thomas”, I told Natalie.
My interest in the band grew even more when Rob collaborated with Santana and won 3 Grammy Awards for the song “Smooth”.
At Work
Music is like caffeine to me especially at work.
Putting headsets on and blasting your eardrums was once a big no-no in our workplace. But after moving to a new department, everything’s like okay now as long as we are not jeopardizing our work.
And that is why, even if I was still at work, I never let that chance passed. That Dubai 92’s afternoon giveaway really made my day. It was a wooot wooot moment. 🙂
I am so thankful to my wife who’s there to redeem the prize, since going to the FM’s office seems impossible for me to do it.
Though most of us are no longer CD users, to me this album is something I really have to keep. Anyway, ripping it out and transferring it to my smartphone is just that easy. After doing it, I’ll have to listen each and every song including the hit single “She’s So Mean”. I will be writing a sort of review of the album perhaps soon. 🙂
If your bosses are not that horrible, listening to FM while at work is very much okay eh!?
Thanks to Dubai 92 and keep rocking Matchbox Twenty.
Ciao!
