Flea Market Friday Once Again
5th Of July, Mark Your Calendar
The ever growing Dubai Flea Market is here once again. Get ready with your own bags and set your mind to this first Friday of the month “sale of all sales” activity. I hope that Harley Davidson on display last market will still be there.
Just a friendly advise though, as early as now, set your mind to only look for and buy the things which you think are useful to you; for your household (used but reliable kitchenware etc), for your job (used computer, used business suit etc), for your parenting (used high chair, used walker etc), for your hobby (used guitar, used fishing rod) so on and so forth. If you won’t set your mind, I warn you, you’ll end up buying loads of things that will only end up in your storage.
Be sure to queue before the doors of Za’abeel Hall 2, in Dubai World Trade Center open @ 2:00 pm, for you to get the best items which are usually gone after two hours. Yup, best items get sold out that fast.
Entrance is free, so thousands of bargain lovers are expected to fill the fully air-conditioned hall this Friday. Just so you guys know, each seller has to shell out Dhs 300/- from their pocket to secure a stall, Dhs 50/- higher compared to the markets held in Al Safa Park. I just wish that the buyers will not bargain too much for an item that’s being sold for a price that is already low. Not unless, if you really think that the price is way too high for a used item.
Below are some of my snaps in last month’s flea in Za’abeel Hall. Watching the crowd made me think, that nearby malls like Dubai Mall and Burjuman are most probably half empty during the Flea Market hours.

What do you think of this classical guitar? Do you think he bought it? Well, you’ll find out then on Friday if it is still there. 🙂

Just 1/3 of the total crowd. We arrived 2 1/2 hours late, and thousands of the early birds have left already bringing with them the best items.

With me is the founder and the reason behind this fun-filled flea market in Dubai. Because of her initiative to share her kind of fun since childhood back in her home country in Germany, thousands of Dubai residents have felt and will continue to feel that different kind of experience that Dubai’s big malls cannot offer.
