4. Easter Chocolate Eggs and Colomba at Eataly, The Dubai Mall
Colomba
At Easter you can’t possibly miss the Colomba from G. Cova. The typical colomba is an Italian traditional Easter cake, fashioned into a dove shape (colomba in Italian). It comes with raisins and candied fruit and is coated in almonds and sugar crystals. Cova’s colomba is made with natural yeast that takes at least 30 hours to rise. Hint: try warming it up in the oven for a couple of minutes and dunking it in your cappuccino!
Chocolate Easter Eggs
The greatest and oldest Easter tradition is the chocolate egg. In Italy, tradition says you have to wait until Easter morning to crack your egg. Regardless of age, chocolate Easter eggs are guaranteed to brighten your day.
The Chocolate Easter egg tradition was born in Europe in the early 19th century, with Italy taking the lead in this artistic confectionery.
