There’s something cooking with Alcatel these days. Not so long ago, they’ve launched the Onetouch Hero 2 and now, another new additional models were released in the recently concluded Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain.
The first one is the Alcatel Onetouch Idol 3. (Looks like they’re having an inspirational kind of version naming convention here, which is cool). This Android L run smartphone, is pretty much the same with Hero 2 in terms of features, its just that it has 2 different sizes like what the iPhone and Galaxy did
The 4.7” model has a quad- core CPU and HD screen while the 5.5” has an octa-core CPU and a full HD screen. Both offer 4G LTE connectivity. Its 13 megapixel back camera is fully enhanced with large aperture for low light while the front camera is wide and has (84°) viewing angle. Both also have the IDOL 3 exclusive feature which is the 100 percent reversible. And that simply means, the interface will just auto rotates itself whichever side a user picks the phone.
But aside all these, one thing which really put IDOL 3 into the limelight is its integration of tailor-made and award-winning JBL audio with Clari-Fi technology.

Alcatel Pixi 3
The second one, and to see how really serious the company is, they’ve released alongside Idol 3, their latest tablet, the Pixi 3. Comes in 3 connection options but 4 different size variants.
- PIXI3 (7) 4G LTE which runs Android Lollipop / QUAD CORE 1.1 GHz, Qualcomm Snapdragon 210
- PIXI3 (8) 3G which runs Android Kitkat / DUAL CORE 1.3 GHz, MT8312
- PIXI3 (7) 3G which runs Android Kitkat / DUAL CORE 1.3 GHz, MT8312
- PIXI3 (7) Wi-Fi which runs Android Kitkat / QUAD CORE 1.3 GHz, MT8127
All 3 have the same 7-inch 1024×600 except for the 8-inch which has 1280×800 TFT display and all are with OTG feature. All also have the same 2 megapixel rear camera, micro USB / micro SD ports, and the following added features: AGPS, G-SENSOR, INFRARED (Universal Remote Control), VOICE CALL.
