Finally, the long wait is over. Jollibee in Dubai is now officially open and is located in Dubai Mall’s 2nd level foodcourt, just next to the world famous American fast food giant, KFC.
Opening the store on a Monday is nothing but a strategy I suppose. To simply avoid any rush from the 500 thousand strong Filipino expats and patrons here in Dubai and the whole of UAE. But still, it didn’t stop the thousands if not hundreds of Filipinos from swarming the opening.
Wifey was reluctant of going there but I insisted with hopes to get some bragging rights. And I failed after seeing the interminable queue, only to be told by the crowd controller/mall keeper to come back the next day.
Quickly, I told my wife and my kiddos to “Keep Calm And Let’s Buy McDo”.

With the sudden closure and no apparent explanations of the previous Jollibee stores in Dubai years back, this, will finally make every Filipino in the emirate and the whole of UAE; feel like home again.
As per reports, another branch is also set to open in Burjuman Centre, in Bur Dubai District.
The recently opened Jollibee in Dubai adds to the ever growing number of stores of this Philippine Stock Exchange listed company. In 2013, there were already 900 plus stores worldwide.
Minutes past 9, we left Dubai Mall, with McDo on hand unfortunately. But just be ready Jollibee on our return and make sure to keep a stock of your pancit palabok (rice noodle dish) burger steak or else we’ll end up taking McDo again. 🙂
