Alcatel has shown confidence and aggressiveness during the launching of its Onetouch Idol 3 in Gaucho Dubai in DIFC. Ready to take a significant chunk of the mobile market share in the region with their new premium smartphone.
Behind all these? Are features which they’ve pulled into one to make Idol 3 the best in its category.

Key speakers of the launching are the bigwigs from the companies which brought features that can’t be found from any other smartphones today. Each has briefly explained their contributions to Onetouch Idol 3.
Manuele Wahl, Head of Trademark & Licensing of Technicolor, elucidates the technology’s role in bringing a real-life, and crystal clear display on Idol 3. This is because of an increased luminosity.
Now, let’s go to the sound. JBL by Harman was represented by Thomas Schnaudt, Director Business Development EMEA, Harman Lifestyle Division. He says, good quality sound comes from good quality JBL speakers strategically positioned on the opposite ends of the phone.
Qualcomm’s President for Middle East, Africa and South East Asia Jay Srage, also explains how superb the user experience of the phone because of its Snapdragon 615 processor with its 64-bit CPU.
Also, the phone’s 13 megapixel camera boasts its Fast Face Focus feature which detects in just 0.26 seconds. This was developed in collaboration with FotoNation.
Hands-on Experience
Alcatel Onetouch Idol 3 is available in two sizes. The 4.7” model which has a quad- core CPU and HD screen and the 5.5” model which has an octa-core CPU and a full HD screen. Both offer 4G LTE connectivity.
Grabbed the 5.5 Idol 3 and first impression was, it’s so “light” and right away felt a good grip on it. Runs in Android Lollipop, the phone is pretty impressive. Tried playing a video and it’s obvious that JBL did a great job here. And so with the camera, the processor, the display were all awesome.
But what tops among the features is the 100% reversible capability of the phone. The Idol 3 knows which side to display every time a user picks it up.
Those are just some of the many features of Idol 3. And here’s the great deal. No doubt, with all those mentioned above, the smartphone is premium, but see these prices:
4.7″ Size Idol 3 AED 899/-
5.5″ Size Idol 3 – AED 1,099/-
