Vehicle Registration Renewal In Dubai – Fast And Easy
Definitely Dubai
If you are a newbie in Dubai, or just a curious guy from another part of the globe reading this blog post on your device, someone who wonders about how Dubai progresses so fast? This one procedure alone will clear any clouds of doubt you may have. This is because Dubai adopts whatever latest technology there is for the convenience of its residents, locals and expats alike. Like what they’ve implemented for Vehicle Registration Renewal.
It was the fastest vehicle registration renewal I have ever experienced. How I did it?
Here are the steps:
Step 1: Renew the Insurance Policy by calling your Insurance company. The new policy will be hand delivered to you within 24 hours. This is a pre-requisite for car registration/renewal.
Tips:
- Renewing the Insurance Policy with the same company, will help you save time
Step 2: Go to RTA.ae (provided the new insurance policy has been confirmed)
Step 3: Create an RTA.ae account profile and login
Step 4: Click the “Renew Vehicle Registration” icon on the left side of the page.
Step 5: Follow the 3 sub steps which are:
1.) Confirm Information – e.g. Plate Number, Category (Private, Public Transpo etc) and Code (insurance policy details will appear automatically without you having to input or update anything. Isn’t that impressive?)
2.) Choose Delivery – e.g. Mailing Address, Mobile and Phone Number, Date of Delivery, etc.
3.) Pay – e.g. MasterCard, Visa, etc
Right after finishing the transaction, an email confirmation will be sent directly to the email address you provided during the procedure along with the Interim Vehicle Registration, which is ready for printing. Total renewal fee as of this date, Dhs 365/-.
It took me only 15 minutes approx. to finish the whole procedure, from creating an RTA.ae account up to payment (excluding the Insurance Policy renewal, which was done the day before).
That is how fast and easy Vehicle Registration Renewal in Dubai is. And that answers the question why Dubai progresses so fast. This is just one of the many reasons… more to come in my next blog.
