Review: Epson Perfection V19 Scanner
Scanning With Epson Perfection V19
Perhaps one of the important factors a company should think of for a product is the naming convention. It should be catchy, realistic, simple and easy to read.
When I get hold of the Epson Perfection V19 Scanner, it then recollects my thought on that naming convention particular. But with a question at the back of my head. Will this “perfection thing” holds true to its end results? We’ll find it out.
Looks
Unassuming. Simple yet with classy due to its glossy black-colored plastic body.
Convenience
With only 4 buttons and with only one USB connection for power and computer connection, scanning with Perfection V19 is a walk in the park. There’s some installation needed though before the first use, but only eats up a minute or two and no need to wait for a warm up.
Everyday scanning is more doable for your photos or any other documents. In the video below, you’ll see how I singlehandedly scanned all the hundreds of my son’s artworks which includes scratch and drafts.
The 10 seconds capturing feature of the Epson Perfection V19 Scanner is not just on paper. Paired with the 4800 x 4800 dpi resolution, keeping “smooth gradations; accurate skin tones; sharp, grain-free photos and crisp, clear text” are way attainable. And these are the things that one should primarily look for a scanner.
The removable lid helps you a lot in scanning images on a bulky photo albums.
But the moment it is removed, it somewhat makes the scanner become weak. Especially when positioning it vertically. Nevertheless, I think that’s the only hiccup I could raise here.
And to add to the contrary, the removable lid feature is a big bonus. Same goes to the built-in kickstand for vertical positioning. It will help you to save some space in your work area.
The Epson Easy Photo Fix software is among the significant features of the scanner. It will help you bring back old photos to colorful ones.
