Review: Itzza Pizza in Al Wasl Road, Umm Suqeim 1, Dubai
Itzza Pizza Pizzeria
With so many Pizzerias in Dubai now, finding the best ones is most of the time, pain in the **s. That is because all pizzerias here so far, are all great if not good. Believe me on that especially if you are a Dubai newbie.
But then, it usually boils down to the question; “do they have ample parking area”? Especially if you are scouting a pizzeria in areas like Sheikh Zayed Road, Bur Dubai, Al Karama, Al Wasl Road etcetera.
So one Friday afternoon (t’was between 4:30 to 5:30 I reckon), after church and while heading home, my brood unanimously agreed to have pizza again for dinner (as we had some yummy pizza bites after the church service). Even our 3-year-old girl loudly gave her green light. So instead of heading home, we went straight to Itzza Pizza in Al Wasl Road, Umm Suqeim 1.
We got a parking, fortunately, (relieved) which is an ultimate problem in that area and probably the reason why we got to dine in this Itzza Pizza only now.
The weather was a bit gloomy but it was still perfect and fine. That winter breeze is not that really cold anymore.
So, to our munching.
See pics below. Scroll down please. 🙂
Thank you for heeding to my scroll request!
But, noticed the time making that scroll? That’s how fast the pizza was served.
Forgive the hyperbole but seriously, it was fast.
Wood fired pizza like Itzza Pizza’s, has no question the best kind of pizzas in the world. With this kind of procedure, cooking is fast, it gives better crust (which is indeed true as per above pics, no burnt side-crusts), and it gives that distinct smokey flavour. That is like the good smell of an oak tree to a wine or whiskey. 🙂
The crunchy Bruschetta with the fresh chopped tomatoes and basil on top was a perfect prelude to our dinner. The Four Meat was so meaty, obviously; and it was tasty. And so was the Rocket Pizza. I always love to eat food that has green leaves on it.
The thin crust pizzas, which is Itzza Pizza’s signature was perfect. It won’t stuffed your tummy with just bread but by the more than enough mozzarella, meat and among other fresh toppings.
After an hour or so, we left Itzza Pizza in Al Wasl Road, Umm Suqeim 1, with happy tummies.
The overall dinner was superb. A great dining place, with cool and attentive staff, and their food come in very reasonable prices. You can check from here. And to rate it, am giving them 9 out of 10 that is because it is always hard to find a parking in there.
