Review: Epson EB-U04 Is A Good One

Improved Projector From Epson

This projector, Epson EB-U04 is I think the company’s riposte on my previous review of the other projector I labelled as the Odd-looking Epson EH-TW5200 LCD Home projector. This is one of the many recently update projector models from Epson.

The EB-U04 is remarkably good-looking machine. Sleek, no unnecessary curve and shapes, straightforward, unassuming, delivers efficiently and so on.

Widen your view. Stretch your dollar. Capable of producing an amazing Full HD resolution with up to 3,000 lumens, your images remain crystal clear even for large projections – Epson

I would like to agree and that I am impressed with the updates and improvements of the EB-U04 if I may compare it to the EH-TW5200 LCD Home projector.

We tested it right away with my kids, after the hassle-free installation. The Little Big Planet game thru my kids’ PS3, was very crisp and clear. The lumens now are way-higher compared to the previous one that we’ve tried. And this is just one of the many awesome features it offers.

The white and black color combination also dictates simplicity. But the color projection it delivers is indeed an “incredible beyond full HD resolution.” Sackboy has never been this colorful with EB-U04.

The high contrast ratio; stunning brightness of up to 3,000 lumens and a high contrast ratio of 15000:1

The following are just some of the Key Features this projector has that will help you and serve as the deciding factors:

  • Full HD, bright images: 3LCD technology and equally high White and Colour Light Output
  • Contrast ratio of 15,000:1: Deep, rich blacks and dense shadow areas
  • Enjoy the big screen experience: Screen size of up to 300 inches
  • 15 years of your favourite content1: Lamp and filter life of 10,000 hours
  • Versatile and flexible control: Project from different sources with 2xHDMI inputs and mobile connectivity

One thing I would also like to highlight is the carrying case/bag that comes with it. It adds more value to the projector. This signifies how mobile it is and that it can be carried anywhere or wherever the need arises.

With the price tag of an approximate $1,100/- (Dhs4,000), I think the buying of this one would be a good one.
