Review: Wyndham Garden Ajman Corniche Hotel
Staycation Celebration: The Hotel With A View
The Wyndham Garden Ajman Corniche Hotel is the only hotel we’ve tried, where each room has a perfect view. Yup, all rooms. This is because of how the building was designed.
Aside from its systematic location being at the Ajman Corniche, the hotel’s “V” design gives all of its 179 rooms sea and pool views. There’s not a single room deprived from any of those views mentioned. May it be standard, junior suites, 2 bedroom suites or executive suites. The differing factor is only the size of the room you’ll have.

The Room
Due to Covid, we can’t celebrate our son’s 11th birthday with friends so we opted to just have it in as a staycation celebration in a nearby emirate and that is Ajman.
2 nights and 3 days, excellent time to break the monotony of being at home for several months already, as we continue to fight this battle against this unseen enemy.
Our room; a junior suite, upgraded from standard deluxe (for Dhs 403/-) has this two not-so-little balconies facing the pool, the corniche road and the private beach of the hotel. The reflection of the pool during the night gives that calming brightness of its surroundings. And during the day, the private beach, which is like a stone throw away, you would know when the best time is to take a dip, that is when there’s not much people out there and most hotel guests are busy at the pool. LOL!

The room was big enough that we successfully pulled a prank on our birthday boy, without him getting a hint. It was so spacious that we can’t hear our kids chatting in the living room while playing their favorite mobile games.

Facilities like 2 HD Smart TVs, fast internet, well installed eco-lights, big shower/wash room and well-functioning AC, made our stay so relaxing. There’s just one draw back though, there’s no power outlet in my supposed to be working table/area. You know, for my vlog/blog edits, I need my gadgets to be plugged the whole time. But it was great on the other hand, as I was able to give more time and focus with the fam.

The Food
Their restaurant, Gourmet Garden, offers sumptuous meals. Dinner, breakfast and lunch. Also, to mention, they’ve smoothly maintained the social distancing protocols. Like the proper distance between tables and chairs, strictly implementing the wearing of mask and hand gloves and allowing “parents only” when getting food from the buffet. And of course, the temperature checks conducted when entering the resto premises.

The food was great. A mix of Arabic, Indian and largely Inter-continental cuisines.
We haven’t tried though, but Wyndham Garden Ajman Corniche Hotel also has seafood specialty restaurant in the opposite side, the Seascape.

But if you want to eat outside, restaurants are everywhere so not a thing to worry. You can even go to malls like City Centre in just a 5-minute drive.

The Pool & The Beach
Aside from it being a temperature controlled pool, its position is very well thought out because it is not directly exposed to the sun, for any time of the day. So even if your stay will be in the middle of summer, you will still enjoy soaking in there. They have jacuzzi on the side and a small water park on the other side for the kids.
But for our European friends whose one prime reason of coming here is because they love our sun, the hotel has a private beach just across the street.
You can safely enjoy the Arabian waters as it is not crowded, obviously. Very safe for the social distancing. You don’t have to rent towels and reclining beach chairs. They have jet skis if you want some adrenaline activities.

Most of our stay in the hotel was spent in the hotel premises only. But for those who would come to explore and discover the emirate, different attractions await you. Just approach the hotel reception and they’d be happy to assist you in going to places like The Masfout Castle, Ajman Fort and Museum, Al Zorah Nature Reserve, Al Murabbaa Watchtower, The Red Fort and Hassa Buweid Castle among others.
If you come to the hotel with your own car, just a heads up, they don’t have a basement parking. It is best to drive your car to the main entrance for valet.
Our overall stay at Wyndham Garden Ajman Corniche Hotel was a great one. And we would love to recommend the hotel to everyone. Business traveller, families, couples and loners, you will enjoy it there. Courteous staff, great facilities and amenities, right price, good food, and is not far from Dubai. It was a 9 out of 10 stay.
