Why We Tried Buffalo Wild Wings Dubai, Only Now?
A Brief Backgrounder
Buffalo Wild Wings came to Dubai in 2015 with its first location on Jumeirah Road. From that year, wifey and I noticed that several international restaurants have popped up in different locations on that same Jumeirah Road. Unfortunately, some were not able to get a good following, which has left them with no option but to close down. And we haven’t even had the chance to check them out.
The case of Buffalo Wild Wings is different yet fortuitous. They’re always full every time we check the place especially during weekends and every time there’s a big sporting event happening around the world.
So just recently, due to the pandemic, we thought it’s the best time to check the place. We were expecting a small crowd as it was a Wednesday. But we were wrong! Not that it’s full-packed, it’s just that they remain busy and a go-to restaurant even on these days. How much more if all the tables are allowed to be used (select tables were kept empty to maintain social distancing) then all the more chaotic it would’ve been. In a good way.
When I say chaotic, I mean, imagine a full packed restaurant with a wall to wall HD flatscreen displays all over, playing a live football match from any of the Major Leagues. It’s chaotically fun, if that’s even a correct phrase. 🙂
The Food
It was raining fries as each of our orders come with it. We love fries but it was just too much.
My son had the slider. My wife had the boneless chicken wings. My lil girl had Mac and cheese. And I had the juicy burger and classic bone in chicken wings.
My son and I both liked the burgers especially with its soft and milky kind of buns. My beef patty is literally juicy and packed with goodness sauce. My son’s slider also literally slides into his mouth and gone in just a few minutes.
The Traditional Wings combo did not disappoint. It was on Spicy Garlic and Asian Zing sauces. The few sticks of celery and carrots were enough to balance the spiciness of the wings. All perfectly cooked and crispy.
Same goes to wifey’s Traditional Boneless Wings in Sweet BBQ sauce. Our little-picky was happy with her Mac and Cheese.
The Service
Due to the environment perhaps, that is why I’d say the service was excellent. Inside was so intense. It’s like you are in a gigantic sports arena. The ordering was fast.
Buffalo Wild Wings Dubai is also among the several restaurants, which have adapted well with the latest trend, that is the digital ordering. Scan and order. Fast and simple.
Don’t hesitate to ask for the WiFi password in case you run out of data.
The Verdict
The place is a go to restaurant for all chicken lovers out there, especially the sports aficionados.
With Buffalo Wild Wings Dubai’s ambiance, service, the taste and price (which is reasonable) all together? I’d give them an easy 9 out of 10.
