McLaren 650S Spider Debuts In Geneva

The McLaren 650S Spider was finally unveiled along with the first early revealed 650S Coupe, at the 84th International Geneva Motor Show in Switzerland in March.
After the stunning images of 650S Coupe were released, (please click here for Coupe) the full specifications and power then followed in Geneva. Now, based on the below excerpts of the recently revealed performances of the 650S, you’ll see a lot of same features but then, you’ll also notice their differences but still having that same promise in terms of handling and drive.
Coupe
It accelerates to 100km/h (62mph) from rest in just 3.0 seconds, and can reach 200km/h (124mph) in just 8.4 seconds. The standing quarter mile (400m) takes 10.5 seconds, and top speed is 333 km/h (207 mph). This performance puts the latest model from McLaren a full second quicker than the iconic McLaren F1 road car to 200 km/h, and 0.6 sec faster over the standing quarter mile, underlining its performance focus. This represents a sprint time to 200 km/h more than half a second quicker than the rapid 12C, which continues in production.Spider
It is fitted with the unique McLaren M838T twin turbo V8 engine, producing 650PS (641 bhp) and 678 Nm (500 lb ft). This means a 0-100 km/h (62 mph) sprint of 3.0 seconds, identical to the Coupé, and 200 km/h (124 mph) is reached in 8.6 seconds, only 0.2 seconds shy of the fixed-head model. Maximum speed is 329 km/h mph (204 mph). Fuel consumption and emissions remain the same for the 650S Spider, returning 24.2 mpg (11.7 l/100km) on the EU combined cycle and 275 g/km.
Both models have the same luxury equipment as standard and are fully trimmed in Alcantara. But what distant among the two, is that Spider has this “two-piece Retractable Hard Top that can be automatically raised or lower in less than 17 seconds, and can be activated while stationary or at any speed up to 30km/h (19mph). A very great feature to be used for any unexpected, sudden change of weather while on the road.
In UAE, both the McLaren 650S Coupe and Spider car models are priced from 1,048,500 AED and from 1,161,000 AED respectively.
